Biography

CBM Pathology, a Sonic Healthcare Anatomic Pathology Practice, is privileged to include Erwin Brun, M.D., on our team. With decades of experience and an impressive range of written works, Dr. Brun is an accomplished professional sought after for his expertise.

Dr. Brun attended Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Mexico, with an internship at Sta. Maria Chapalita Medical Center, Guadalajara. He went on to serve his residency in social service at Health Department Community Hospital. After moving to the United States, he completed his anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., where he also served a fellowship in gastrointestinal and cardiac pathology.

Dr. Brun began his professional career as a senior pathologist with Capital Digestive Care Laboratory Division, and with Metropolitan Gastroenterology Group Laboratory Branch. He also served as director of gastrointestinal pathology and residency program for Washington Hospital Center.

A member of American Society of Clinical Pathologists and College of American Pathologists, Dr. Brun is board certified in anatomic pathology. He has expertise in gynecological cytopathology, gynecological pathology, gastrointestinal pathology, general surgical pathology, and non-gyn cytopathology.

Dr. Brun has been an invited guest speaker on numerous panels and has presented on a wide-range of medical topics.
